GMPartsDirect wants about $110 to ship a $45 Hood Insulator!!! Ridiculous!!

I'm sure it ships oversize because you can't fold it without breaking it at the fold. It won't roll up either. That would be pricey.

I went to my local Chevy dealer (Iowa) and he matched the GMC Direct pricing when I asked if they did that sort of thing.
And no freight charge.

Not sure the number.
Hood Insulator Pad for colorado. I thing he had me order fr 2009 but it fits my 2006 as well.
Also got the pins.

Just reread thread.
They (GM) had quoted me something like 63.50 and the pins were just under $2.00 each (7 I think) freight was close to the price of the parts.

The insulator will fit all Colorados and Canyons regardless of motor or year as long as you see the metal bent where it would slide in under the hood. And I believe all hoods have it.

Hmmmmm.... any ideas on what other material can go there (not as an insulator rather just for looks)?
Something to have like a flat surface? Just thinking about dressing it a bit some day hehe
